Our stay in the school was really memorable. It was one of the best opportunities to get in close contact with indian culture and people. Of course, that the fact that we were in Kerala also helped. Amazing weather and eating dosa and idli with coconut chutney all the time. At the school we were able to teach the kids and do some fun activities with them. But really the best was to see how people live on a daily basis on such a hot weather. It was truly a challenge that we can say anyone will benefit to endure.
Ah, and the best part was the coconut duty! Opening coconuts and sweat like never before in your life. But the reward... coconut water and coconut lado (very very good indian sweet) and coconut chutney. Your journey in India will never be complete without some kind of real life experience, going out of the turist track and meeting the life of real people. Eating with them, living with them, participating in their festivals. The kids at the school are truly sweet and will loved to have us there. We truly recommend Kerala for those who want to meet real tropical India and contribute to enrich the local school. By the way, the elephant ride and a super, what an amazing animal.
